On March 12, 2022, the city of Kawasaki hosted the Ribasai! We did [Live Piano Painting] at It was fun!!! !!!!

The piano belongs to Naoto Izumi, the artist who created this event. Before I painted the piano, I asked him about the story behind the piano and my theme as an artist, “Will.

Title: Spring Storm
Material: Acrylic painting on piano

I painted the piano with a kind of “energy of seasonal change” for the season of spring, when the weather is often unpredictable, cold or hot. There are also flowers on the roof.

This time, Naoyuki Chikatani, a musician who has been working with us as an artist, played the piano while we painted! I painted the back of the piano while he was playing, then finished the whole thing… and Joji Kishigami sang afterwards, and it was a great session in the beautiful weather! Thank you to Izumi-san for the wonderful opportunity, Chiko-san for the great session, Eri Aida-san for the wonderful photos, and everyone who came to the event, Arriel Rie, Masako Suzuki, and Hiroaki Yazawa! Motoko Kawabata, thank you for introducing Izumi-san to us!

And we had a picnic, too, which was fun! This piano is expected to be exhibited in Otsuka again in April.
