Kawagoe City in Saitama Prefecture will hold “KAWAGOE SUNRISE 2022” at Kawagoe Suijo Park on May 14 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of its establishment.
In addition to 100 kimono-clad people making human characters, a giant art project is planned to make the wings of the city bird, the wild goose, with the handprints of 540 people.
You can still participate in the art of handprints on the day of the event, and admission is free!
