Even if you have never seen live painting before, you will enjoy it!

Even those who see the artwork for the first time will enjoy it. The artist gives an explanation after the creation of the work.

◆ Concept

This time, the work is myself. The artist who performs “embodiment of will” returns to the origin of live painting and traces the world of those days with the violin to create the work.

“To live is to be happy.”

What can be left behind by those who are engaged in art? This film unravels this process from the perspectives of music, art, and the times.

It is said that the modern art technique of live painting began in the 1940s.

As “art as a process”, it has spread as action painting and gestural abstraction. For a long time, I have been very interested in how to make the audience become a part of the art and take the form of “co-creation”. I have an ambiguous boundary between myself and the other person. I have the impression that it is somewhat ambiguous.

That’s why I’m excited to see live painting with customers as a performing art, an art made possible by the presence of observers there.

This time, I would like to invite violinist Mai Tachibana based on the historical background of that time and “relive” the era by looking back with the music of that time, and “co-create” to create a work of art in that context.

When I find myself on the canvas, the viewer may also find himself there.

Please accompany me in the creation of this “embodiment of the will”.
