This solo exhibition is titled “arrival of spring”. I would like to present the uplifting feeling of welcoming a new season and the energy that I have generated through my art activities in various locations.
We will bring you the breath of spring at the wonderful gallery cafe “LUCKAND” in Kita-sando.
Tomoko Matsuoka Solo Exhibition “Arrival of spring”
After a long winter, the arrival of spring brings a sense of new beginnings. This year, coupled with the prolonged Corona disaster, there seems to be more and more energy to seek new journeys and encounters. We are holding this spring solo exhibition in the hope that the feelings that have accumulated over the past two years will be dispelled with the warm breath of spring, and that we can now seize the opportunity to begin a new journey once again.
Before the arrival of spring this time, I have been working on the creation of artworks that are born only in those places while moving around Japan, such as the artist-in-residence in Miyazaki City and the live painting in Minamisoma City on March 11, 2011. I hope that this exhibition will be an opportunity for you to feel the wind that I have worn as I have traveled from place to place.
At the solo exhibition, we plan to showcase not only the latest works but also “zoom background paintings” that have been featured in various media, a display using flowers that remind us of spring, and live painting.
We hope you can feel the will to start a new journey in this new season.

We are sincerely grateful for the thoughtful souvenirs we receive at each of our exhibitions. This time, we are looking for “flowers” to go with the theme of the exhibition.
